If you have recorded timings and want to use them in the video you create from your presentation, make sure the box next to Use Recorded Timings and Narrations is checked. You can also choose to set the amount of time the video will spend on each slide if you don't have a set timing.

When a presentation plays as a movie, each slide appears for a uniform amount of time unless you set individual timings, or record the slide show to establish timing for the entire presentation. For more information about setting slide timings, see Rehearse and set slide timings.

I have created PpowerPoint using the recording screen option. I have exported to video and have the resulting MP4 file. I can open the MP4 with Films&App I have created an SRT file (manually via notepad )to have subtitles. The mp4 and srt have the same name and are in the same folder, but when I open the mP4 and select the srt the subtitles do not appear. Any ideas why gratefully received.

Hi, welcome to Q&A forum You want to create subtitles for your videos, am I right? But I am not familiar with Films&App, office-powerpoint-itpro" focuses more on general issue of PowerPoint client.

Which version of Office are you using now? Please go to PowerPoint > File > Account > Product Information, check the version name. Please also check whether your Office installed using MSI or C2R (Click-to-Run) technology according to whether there is an option of Updates Options.

If your Office is C2R installations with the Updates Options, please refer to the article "Create closed captions for a video". First use Notepad prepare one .vtt format file, based in the last Example in the link above, write the subtitle time and content. Then import it to your video.

"By default when using libx264, and depending on your input, ffmpeg will attempt to avoid color subsampling. Technically this is preferred, but unfortunately almost all video players, excluding FFmpeg based players, and many online video services only support the YUV color space with 4:2:0 chroma subsampling.

I want to batch convert a directory containing hundreds of FLV files so that each file has a MP4 equivalent. I'm trying to automate this process by writing a shell script and running it from the Terminal. How do I go about doing that? Most of the instructions available are for Linux using ffmpeg but I think OS X doesn't have it. Thanks.

You can install ffmpeg via Homebrew or MacPorts. The commnd to install ffmpeg with Homebrew is brew install ffmpeg; similarly, the command to install ffmpeg with MacPorts is sudo port install ffmpeg. Once you've installed ffmpeg, here is a simple (and somewhat naive) script for converting the files. You may need to add more flags, depending on your desired options.

Just make whatever file you put the script above in executable (for example, chmod a+x path/to/convert_all_to_mp4.sh) and invoke it by its fully qualified path or add the directory containing it to the PATH environment varaible and invoke the script by the name you gave it.

Description:This script will search for all FLV files in the specified location, iterate through each one, converting them to an equivalent MP4 video and place them in the sub-directory MP4-yymmdd-HHMMSS. Log files generated during the process are placed in the log directory within this sub-directory.

Prerequisites:Download the ffmpeg binary and place in the /usr/local/bin directory. My code is based on Jan's blog on trick77.com. See "References" for details.Download my bash script from the "Bash Script" section.

Explanation of my code Copy any MP4 files present Detect the video codec type using ffmpeg -i [file]. Cycle through each video and convert according to the type of video codec used. Concatenate all the ffmpeg log filesLimitations:Only processes videos with the FLV1 and H264 codecs.

Extensibility:If you have any FLV files that have a video stream other than FLV1 or H264, e.g. VP6, FLV4, add a comment with a link to your video file and I will update my code to handle it.

You can convert AVCHD and MP4 scenes to an MP4 scene with lower video quality (down-conversion) to obtain smaller file sizes. This is convenient, for example, when you want to upload videos to the Web, as smaller video files will upload more quickly.

  • 6. Touch the individual scenes you want to convert.A checkmark will appear on the scenes you touch. The total number of selected scenes will appear next to the .

  • Touch a selected scene to remove the checkmark.

NOTETo remove all checkmarks at once, touch [Remove All] > [Yes].

Help !!! I failed to End Meeting after completing a one hour difficult presentation that I was recording on Zoom. Is there any way to convert this to .MP4 file now. It shows up in the Document \ Zoom folder local drive; but the file name shows only "double_click_to_convert_02.zoom"

If you still cannot convert, please check the files in the recording files folder. If the following three files are present, moving the recording.conf file out of the folder and then performing the manual conversion procedure may work.

I tried the manual convert option by double_clicking the file, also tried open with transcode and it did not work. I have a 128MB file. Is there another application that can convert the .zoom file? I also read that if you restart the computer, sometimes that will get the manual option to work.

MOV files, also known as the QuickTime multimedia file format, are actually a proprietary file format developed by Apple itself. If you're a Windows user who's ever tried working with an Apple-formatted hard drive, you already know that the struggle is real. Thankfully, the technological gap has drawn itself to a near close as time wears on.

Nowadays, most PCs and Apple devices can handle both MOVs and MP4s, at least to some extent. Still, though, the occasional need to convert MOV video files to MP4 files has not yet fallen by the wayside. Here, we show you the nine best ways to convert MOV to MP4.

Little says "instant gratification" like a web app designed to perform without making a mess on your computer. If you've only got one or two video files that you need to convert on a whim, try any of these free services for a quick and painless transaction. 041b061a72
